4 Software Description

During start-up, all motors, the preview camera and the scan camera are initialized. After
successful initialization, the program displays a Mode selection window.

The selection window displays two
Brightfield
or
Fluorescent
scan modes depending on the
camera installed on the microscope:
•
Automatic
•
for digitizing multiple slides
•
Manual
•
for digitizing individual slides
•
where contrast ratio is critical due to specimen staining and where ideal
parameters need to be determined for subsequent use in
Automatic
mode
•
if profiles need to be defined for the
Automatic
mode
Note:
It is recommended to use specimens with identical staining for a given
batch of magazines in
Automatic
mode.
4.1.2 Exiting the software
If you close a mode or one of the options window the Mode selection window turns active again. To
exit the software, click
X
in the title bar of the Mode selection window.
