UPDATE FIRMWARE

1010music occasionally provides firmware updates with bug fixes and new features. You
can use the microSD card with your computer to get the new firmware. You will need to
register for the 1010music forum (for free) to download the new firmware, put it on the
microSD card, and then reboot bluebox while telling it to load new firmware.

Update the Bluebox Firmware:

1.

Check which firmware version you are currently running. Push Tools. The current

firmware version is displayed in the top right corner.

Check the forum to see if there is a newer version. On your computer, go to the

website

forum.1010music.com

. Click Login or Sign Up in the top right corner.

You will need to be a registered forum user in order to access firmware updates.

It is free to register. Follow the instructions on screen to login or sign up if

needed. Note that when you first sign up, you will receive an email asking you to

confirm your email address. You must click the link in that email to confirm your

email address before you will be able to access the downloads. Email

[email protected] if you have any trouble with registering.

Once you are logged in to the forum, scroll to the Product Downloads section,

and then go to the Bluebox Firmware Downloads section to look for the latest

firmware. Download the file to your computer. Unzip the contents of the file.

Some computers will unzip it automatically when you download it.

Put the bluebox microSD card in your computer and place the new copy of

BLUEBOX.BIN in the root folder. Make sure you allow it to overwrite the old file

with the new file, and make sure it is named BLUEBOX.BIN. You can use a

microSD to SD adapter, or a microSD to USB adapter to put the microSD card in

your computer.

5.

Unplug your bluebox and put the microSD card back in. Hold down the A

button while plugging it back in. Release the A button when you see “Bluebox

Installer” on the screen. Bluebox will display status updates as it completes the

reprogramming. It will finally display a success message and then restart with

the firmware update.
