4.6. Special Notice for Waterproofing Installation
Most outdoor model problems are caused from the connector connections that loosen due to vibration or other forces,
allowing moisture to penetrate the connector interfaces. The following recommendation is used for all outdoor
installation to be waterproofed.
Step 1.
Ensure you already fasten all connectors securely together.
Step 2.
Tightly wrap two layers of
self-bonding insulating tape
(the tape from a good brand is recommended)
forward and backward over the physical connection extending two inches beyond the connectors or beyond
the end of heat-shrinkable tubing on the RF coaxial cable, and overlapping the tape on each turn.

4.7. Special notice for the RS-232 cable keypro
The keypro is used as an interface between the CONSOLE port of B-6010/B-6020 and the PC RS-232 port.
Please ensure the keypro is well connected to the CONSOLE cable (9-pin female connector) and the other end of the
keypro is connected to the PC RS232 cable (male connector).
This keypro is a signal interface between the PC and the B-6010/B-6020 while the system is in troubleshooting
mode
using the console terminal mode.
Please note that both A/P and A/C must be well connected with one keypro respectively. All the keypros are the
same.
