3.2.2 Checking EFM
This procedure describes how to check the Ethernet in the First Mile (
) function.
EFM involves link-level management. It monitors point-to-point (or virtual point-to-point)
Ethernet links in the network and troubleshoot problems if there is any.
Steps
1.
Select
ETH > OAM_EFM > Global Configuration
from the left navigation tree. The
EFM Global Configuration
pane is displayed on the right.

Set the parameters, and click the
Apply
button, see

Parameter
Description
EFM Global Configuration
Indicates the global switch of the EFM protocol.
Loopback Timeout
Sets the timeout threshold of waiting for the response of the opposite
end when EFM is performing the loopback operation.
Link Monitor
Indicates the gobal switch of the link event monitoring function of EFM.
Loopback
Sets whether EFM supports the loopback function.
