How to test the monitor
This procedure is done when refurbishing the system for another patient.
Patients do not do this procedure.
The pulse test checks the monitor’s ability to generate and deliver a pulse.
To do the pulse test, first get the monitor into programming mode (by doing the
3-button trick described below). Then use the navigation buttons and the menu
map to navigate to the pulse test.
We suggest that you test any monitors in storage every 6 months.
Be sure to send patient data before testing the monitor.
Before testing the monitor, make sure the monitor is not in training mode. (If it is,
TRAINING MODE will appear on the bottom of the display.)
Test procedure
1 Disconnect the electrode belt from the monitor.
2 Insert a fully-charged battery into the monitor.
