4. Place the battery inside the battery box and connect
the leads from the controller to the battery terminals.
Connect positive (+) lead to positive terminal on the
battery and black negative (-) lead to the negative
battery terminal.
NOTE: If wires are not connected properly, a loud,
constant audible alarm will sound until the leads are
attached to the correct terminals.

Plug the controller into a GFCI-protected 115V
outlet.
NOTE: The primary pump and controller should
be on separate circuits.
Test for backup pump operation by adding
water to the sump basin.
