3. Check Salt – Light On
The ‘check salt’ light will come on at any salt level between 3000 ppm and 4000 ppm depending
on mains voltage and water temperature (below 18ºC, 65ºF). The ‘chlorine generation’ light will
also go off in a low salt condition, however some chlorine will still be produced a level lower than
the level selected on the output control. This is not a fault but a precaution to ensure the salt level
is never too low. (See “Salt: When and how to add it’).

Chlorine Generating Device at reduced salt levels may shorten the life of the cell

Check Salt – Light Off
Indicates that the salt level in the pool is correct for the output setting.
4.
No Flow – Light On
This indicates insufficient water flow in cell, usually caused by the pump not running. The
chlorine output will also turn off at this time. Do not leave the device on when the pump is off or
when backwashing the filter.
All Lights Off
All lights off indicates the EZ SALT Chlorine Generating Device is turned off.
