of 37 bits. The first bit is the odd parity bit of bits 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 19,
21, 22, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 34 and 36; the 37th bit is the odd parity bit of bits 2, 4,
5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 29, 31, 32, 34 and 35; bits 4, 7,
10, 13, 16, 19, 22,
25, 28, 31 and 34 participate in both odd and even parity check. Bits
2 to 5 are manufacturer code; bits 6 to 17 are the site code; bits 18 to 36 are the card
number.
