Policy.
This establishes the service policy for the queues in each of the three
priorities. The values are
htb
and
htb-shared
.
•
Total rate
. This indicates the bandwidth associated with the device. The units are
bits per second (bps).
•
%High, % Medium and % Low
. These three fields indicate the bandwidth
percentage to be assigned to each priority.
5.6
ROUTING CONFIGURATION
The equipment operates as a router for the IPv4 protocol. The router services are always
active. The data for the routing function may have two sources; static data of a permanent
nature established by the user and dynamic data, obtained by the equipment itself through
executing the standard routing protocols: RIP and OSPF.
5.6.1
Static routes
Through the
Static routes
submenu in the
Routing
menu, the user can provide the system
with the static and permanent data for the routing service.
Two types of data are configured in this submenu; explicit static routes in the section
Static
Routes
, and the address acting as a route by default in the case that the service has no
specific data for reaching a destination, in the section
Default Static Routes
.
If the equipment has wireless operative interfaces, the operator will not only provide the
IP address of the interface but also establish a default router associated with that
interface, which takes precedence over any configuration established by the user.
