DHCP RELAY CONFIGURATION
The DRA-2 DHCP Relay Agent is a Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) relay agent that relays
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) messages between DHCP clients and DHCP
servers on different IP networks.
DHCP Relay agent can be enabled for each VLAN configured (VLAN menu), and the single
parameter needed is IP address for DHCP Server that DHCP demands will be sent.
DHCP Relay agent can also be enabled when equipment is operating PVLAN, in such
case, only configuration for Primary VLAN makes sense, as it is the one that is going to
receive traffic coming from all Secondary VLANs configured.
DHCP Relay agent will only run in VLAN interfaces with static IP address configuration.
5.10
DHCP SERVER CONFIGURATION
The DRA-2 has a built-in DHCP server which allows IP addresses to be assigned
automatically to the equipment requesting this.
The server is designed to operate selectively in each of the possible virtual VLAN interfaces
of the equipment.
