INSTALLATION / FIRST START-UP
SETTING UP AND INSTALLATION
Important instructions for setting up the device
The S600 / S900 ARTI Scanner should be operated under the following conditions only:
- Up to 2000 m above sea level.
- Ambient temperature, in the range from 15 °C to 30 °C.
- Do not expose the system to direct solar radiation.
- Maximum relative air humidity of 75 % at 30 °C;
- The S600 ARTI / S900 ARTI Scanner may only be moved and put down on surfaces with
suitable stability, in a dry place and in a non-corrosive environment.
- Stable, non-slip installation surface, which can bear a minimum weight of 300 kg.
- Safety distance of min. 2 m to combustible material.
- Safety distance of min. 2 m to water.
- Safety distance of min. 1.5 m to all sides (for cooling air, access).
- Place the table on a flat ground and align the work surface horizontally.
- Provide for adequate work height (consider the height of the front glass in raised position).
- Work and danger area must be easily visible and lit (at least 500 lux).
- Make sure the S600 ARTI / S900 ARTI Scanner set position during operation allows easy
removal of the power plug in case of emergency.
- Provide power supply 110 - 240 V as a fixed connection and lay connection cable protected
ensuring strain relief. The electrical socket and mains fuse must be set up according to the valid
national standards. The functioning of grounding and the protective conductor must be checked
before starting.
- Power supply must be installed and attached by an expert.
The equipment must be easily accessible from all sides for operation and possible component
exchange.
- The scanner must not be connected to the electric circuit during the installation phase: Danger
of electric shock.
- The S600 / S900 ARTI Scanner must be always visible from the PC workstation.
- The device may not be operated unattended under any circumstances.
Connection to the power supply system via residual-current circuit breaker:
- The devices are equipped with an integrated EMC mains filter to meet the current EMC
standard 2004/108 EC.
- Due to the principle used, the EMC mains filter produces leakage current to ground (via PE).
