StEin
Stationary Equipment Module
14.
Prepared configurations and their activation
…for a quick and easy start.
The StEin module provides
comprehensive possibilities for a varying configura-
tion;
see chapter “configuration with Excel-sheets”. Numerous parameters can be set
individually for each track section, turnout, signal etc., such as: occupancy detection
threshold for track sections in different situations (i.e. normal / moist / wet track),
overcurrent and short circuit thresholds, various turnout position detectors and much
more.
However…
... it is
very easy
to initially configure the "StEin" with the help of the
“prepared con-
figurations"
, which are already stored in the module’s memory, and can be selected
and activated for the desired application.
These "prepared configurations" in many cases are sufficient for the user and there is
no need to know the details of the parameter sheets; nevertheless, access to the full
range of the “StEin” capabilities is always available if needed.
The tables below describe the available prepared configurations; the first lines of the table
(
NNK, DSA
, in bold) ar the ones active at
delivery
, i.e. 8 objects for track sections of a
normal HO-scale layout and 8 objects with turnouts with common coil motors. These 16
objects can be controlled by an interlocking program per module number and connection
number (1 - 8). By the key-procedure
press/hold button 3
(see chapter “Button proce-
dures”) also
other prepared configurations
can be selected.
For example with typical values for large-scale locos, (see table below) - in each case,
marked by their
number
, which is shown in the table, as well as in the PARAMETER
SHEET of the PREPARED CONFIGURATION on the next page (first column).
EXPLANATION to the shown PARAMETER SHEET on the next page:
The prepared collection of configurations in the module is built-up as special parameter
sheet, which - contrary to “real” parameter sheets - cannot be used as one entity, but
as “container” for the individual prepared configurations (group of object lines), which
can be selected, see above.
This PARAMETER SHEET of the PREPARED CONFIGURATION (which is also available on the
ZIMO website) shows a collection of sample-objects, with which the user is able to create
his/her own parameter sheet; it is also possible to copy object lines into your own sheet
and then modify for the individual purpose, etc.
This PARAMETER SHEET contains up to 99 prepared configurations (depending on the
type), i.e. blocks of object lines, separated by blanks, which always have the same num-
ber (01, 02, 03, ...) in the first columns. One or more of this prepared configurations can
be selected one after the other by the button procedure
press/hold button 3
and final-
ly the configuration for the module can be built.
If more of these prepared configurations are selected after each other, they comple-
ment each other, i.e. the objects of these prepared configurations all are joined in the
final configuration, as far as they refer to different objects, otherwise, a later selected
object line overwrites a previously selected one.
The module configuration built from prepared configurations can be saved on a flash
drive if needed, and loaded into a computer to be displayed and editable as Excel sheet
again.
