Installation and Operating Instructions
V03
5.5.4 Connecting the PV array
1. Ensure that the individual miniature circuit-breaker is switched off and ensure that
it cannot be accidentally reconnected.
2. Ensure that the DC switch is switched off and ensure that it cannot be accidentally
reconnected.
3. Ensure that there is no ground fault in the PV array.
4. Check whether the DC connector has the correct polarity.
If the DC connector is equipped with a DC cable having the wrong polarity, the DC
connector must be reassembled. The DC cable must always have the same
polarity as the DC connector.
5. Ensure that the open-circuit voltage of the PV array does not exceed the
maximum DC input voltage of the inverter.
6. Connect the assembled DC connectors to the inverter until they audibly snap into
place.
7. Ensure that all DC connectors are securely in place.
Damage to the inverter due to moisture and dust penetration
• Seal the unused DC inputs with sealing plugs so that moisture and
dust cannot penetrate the inverter.
• Make sure all DC connectors are securely sealed.
The inverter can be destroyed by overvoltage
If the voltage of the strings exceeds the maximum DC input voltage of
the inverter, it can be destroyed due to overvoltage. All warranty
claims become void.
• Do not connect strings with an open-circuit voltage greater than the
maximum DC input voltage of the inverter.
• Check the design of the PV system.
