FG (Foreground) Opacity
Lets you select a foreground opacity for Closed Caption display.
Set By Program: The original foreground opacity is set for the caption
display.
Solid: The text foreground color looks solid (without any transparency).
Flash: The text foreground color blinks twice a second.
Translucent: The text foreground color looks translucent.
Transparent: The text foreground color looks transparent. (In this case,
whatever the foreground color is, the color does not affect the caption
display.)
Background Color
Lets you select a background color for Closed Caption display.
Set By Program: The original background color is set for the caption display
BG (Back Ground) Opacity
Lets you select a background opacity for Closed Caption display.
Set By Program: The original background opacity is set for the caption
display.
Solid: The text background color looks solid (without any transparency).
Flash: The text background color blinks twice a second.
Translucent: The text background color looks translucent.
Transparent: The text background color looks transparent. (In this case,

Edge Type
Lets you select an edge type for Closed Caption display.
Set By Program: The original edge type is set for the caption display.
None: The text has no edge.
Raised: The text looks raised.
Depressed: The text looks depressed.
Uniform: The text has a uniform edge.
Left Shadow: The text has a left-shadow edge.
Right Shadow: The text has a right-shadow edge.
Edge Color
Lets you select an Edge color for Closed Caption display. (If the edge type is
selected as None, or if the edge type is selected as Set By Program and the
program is set the edge type as None, then the edge color does not have
any effect on the caption display.)
Set By Program: The original edge color is set for the caption display.
