Prepare vacuum cleaner for operation

Insert the curved end of the hose into the vacuum
cleaner suction inlet and gently press in. The distinctive
“click” indicates a correctly mounted hose.

Connect the other end of the hose (handle) with the
telescopic suction tube. To do this, press the latch
“A”
and
insert the tube into the hose handle so that the latch
“A”
snaps in the hole

.

Adjust the length of the telescopic suction tube as
required using the slider as indicated by the arrow.

Fit the appropriate nozzle or brush at the other end of the
suction tube.

Use combination carpet & floor brush for vacuuming
both hard surfaces and carpets. To vacuum hard surfaces
— wood flooring, plastic floor lining, ceramic tiles etc., extend
the brush by pressing the selector switch on the unit as
shown in Figure
. Retract the brush when vacuuming
carpets (set the selector switch to “
” position).

The vacuum cleaner features a storage compartment
for accessories. Slide out the cover to open the storage
compartment.

Grab the plug and pull the power cord out of the vacuum
cleaner.
When pulling out the cord, note the yellow
stripe which marks the and of the cord. Further
attempts to pull it out may cause damage.

Plug in the appliance.
Before turning on the vacuum cleaner make sure that
SAFBAG dust bag, pre-filter and HEPA/EPA outlet filter are
properly fitted in the appliance.

Press the on/off button to turn on the vacuum cleaner.

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with an electronic
power control which allows for a gradual suction power
adjustment. Adjust suction power using the suction power
adjustment knob. Turn the knob towards to increase the
suction power by one setting. Turn the knob towards
to
reduce the suction power by one setting. The set suction
power setting (1 to 5) is shown on the LED. By default the
ZVC465KP vacuum cleaner is in Standby with
OFF
shown
on the display. In order to start vacuuming turn the knob
towards or press the button located on the hose handle.
You can adjust suction power at any time. The recommended
settings are:
1 – curtains
2 – upholstery
3 – carpets
4 – hard floors and crevices
5 – maximum suction power
In addition to the recommended settings, you can adjust
suction power to obtain the required vacuuming efficiency
and the suction power of your combination carpet & floor
brush.

The vacuum cleaner is also equipped with a mechanical
suction regulator tab located on the hose handle. It may be
used to temporarily adjust the suction power with no need to
use the knob (ZVC465SP, ZVC465SK models only).

The ZVC465KP model of the vacuum cleaner features
remote suction control in the suction hose handle. It allows
you to adjust the suction power without having to bend down.
In order to take advantage of the remote control feature,
open the battery compartment in the suction hose handle
and insert 2 AAA 1.5 V batteries.
Observe polarity and insert the batteries so
that the positive (“+”) battery pole is always
located near the compartment latch marked
with the “+” symbol.
Use only high quality batteries. Leaking battery
may damage the electronic components.

Press the appropriate button
or
on the suction hose
handle to adjust suction power:
Press
to increase suction power by one setting.
Press
to reduce suction power by one setting.

Press the
On/Off button on the suction hose handle
to temporarily turn off the appliance and set it in Stand-by.
OFF
will be shown on the LED.
Press or
to resume vacuuming. The appliance will
operate at the last used suction power setting.
Both IR transmitter and IR receiver must be
must in the line of sight of each other for the
remote control system to operate normally.
Remove filters
Make sure the appliance is turned off and unplugged from
wall outlet before you replace the filters.
PREFILTER

Release front cover latch and open the cover.

Remove the SAFBAG dust bag holder with integrated
bag from the vacuum cleaner.

Slide pre-filter holder out the guides located on the rear
wall of the vacuum cleaner chamber.

Remove the pre-filter from the holder.

Fit a new pre-filter in the holder, making sure that the
edges of the pre-filter are underneath the holder tabs.

Insert the holder fitted with the new pre-filter all the
way into the guides located on the rear wall of the vacuum
cleaner chamber.

Slide SAFBAG bag holder and attached bag into the
slots located on the wall of the vacuum cleaner chamber.

Close the cover by pressing it until you hear a click – be
careful not to pinch the bag.
