Motor Replacement Procedure
– Clipper Vac® B&B® –
Step 1
Unplug the unit.
Step 2
Remove the top lid using a screw driver
Step 3
Disconnect the wires to the motor being replaced. If the Green wire is connected to
a screw, cut the wire close to the motor, leaving the wire for connecting to the green
wire on the new motor.
Step 4
Remove the hose clamp. Unfold the rubber sleeve from the flange. The motor should
drop through to the bottom compartment.
Step 5
Install the motor with the filter on it. Insert the new motor from the bottom up. Pull
the motor up through the hole in the shelf. Turn the hair drawer upside down and
slide it under the filter to support it. Add spacers (such as books or wood blocks) to
put under the filter to push it up as high as possible.
Step 6
Fold rubber sleeve over the flange and install clamp. Place a small piece of sturdy
paper under the tightening fastener on the hose clamp to prevent any cutting of the
rubber sleeve as you tighten the clamp
Step 7
Important: when replacing the filter, remember to put the wing nut on the bottom of
the filter! This is a locking nut; please be careful not to over tighten. It lays level with
the motor base.
Step 8
Reconnecting the wires:
First, connect the green wire to the other green wires and place the yellow cap on
the top (which is provided).
Next, connect the black wire with the red terminal already attached to the On/Off
switch.
Lastly, connect the remaining white wire to the white wire.
