4 Structural safety regulations
4.1 General information
Stabilisers help ensure that a scaffold tower is stable. However, depending on
the place of use (indoor/outdoor), they may need to be fitted with ballast weights.
4.2 Attaching ballast weights
The attachment point and quantity of ballast weights are dependent on the structure
and platform height of the scaffold tower.
On mobile scaffold towers with stabilisers, ballast weights with fastening clamps
must be used. The ballast weights must be attached to the stabiliser or scaffold
tower's base as close to the ground as possible.
4.3 Maintenance, servicing, storage and cleaning
The product can be cleaned using water and a small amount of conventional
cleaning agent. Paint spots can be removed using turpentine.
Do not allowed cleaning agents to seep into the soil.
• Dispose of used cleaning solutions in accordance with the applicable
environmental regulations.
Lubricating moving parts
• Lubricate all moving parts (height adjusters, swivel castor bearings, fasteners)
with standard oil. Select a thin-bodied oil when using the product in winter.
• Dispose of oil-soaked cleaning rags in accordance with the relevant
environmental regulations.
WARNING
Slippery stepping surfaces are a source of fall hazard!
Lubricating oil on stepping surfaces can lead to falls and injuries.
Always wipe off any excess oil.
Transportation and storage
• Store scaffold parts in such a way that they cannot be damaged.
