Replace a castor fork
Preparation
1.
Prepare the wheelchair for maintenance. See section
5.1.
2.
Remove the castor wheel. See section
5.2.4.
Procedure
1.
Lift the wheelchair until the wheels are free from the floor.
•
Use a lifting platform.
2.
Replace the castor fork, depending on the date of manufacture:
•
Manufactured before December 2013: see step 3.
•
Manufactured from December 2013: see step 4.
3.
Manufactured before December 2013:
a. Remove screw A and cap B.
b. Remove screw C.
c. Remove the old castor fork (F).
d. Install the new castor fork and use some
Loctite 648 to secure screw C.

Manufactured from December 2013:
a. Remove screw A and cap B.
b. Remove cotter pin E.
c. Remove screw C.
d. Remove the old castor fork (G).
e. Install the new castor fork. Use a new
cotter pin and make sure that it is well
secured.

1.
Install the castor wheel. See section

2.
Complete the maintenance. See section
5.9.
