brated to trip 13.73 PSIA (94.7 kPa).
SUN 12:00 AM LOW REFRIGERANT TEMP – DIGITAL
Unit has shut down because the low refrigerant tem-
perature safety device (LRT) has opened. It is calibrated
to open at 33°F (0.6 °C). It will automatically close at
37°F (2.7°C). To restart unit, press UNIT switch to STOP/
RESET position, then to START position.
SUN 12:00 AM LOW REFRIGERANT TEMP – ANALOG
Unit has shut down because the refrigerant tempera-
ture, as sensed by thermistor RT8 has decreased to 33°F
(0.6°C). When the temperature increases to 37°F (2.7°C),
the unit will be allowed to restart. To restart unit, press
UNIT switch to STOP/RESET position, then to START
position.
SUN 12:00 AM GEN SHELL HI TEMP – MAN RESET
Unit has shut down because the generator high tem-
perature safety device (HT1) has opened. It is calibrated
to open at 330°F (165.6°C). It will close when manually
reset (if temp < 326°F, 163.3°C). To restart unit, press
UNIT switch to STOP/RESET position, manually reset
HT1, then press UNIT switch to START position.
SUN 12:00 AM GEN SHELL HI TEMP – ANA
(ANA = Analog Initiated Shutdown)
Unit has shut down because the generator strong solu-
tion temperature, as sensed by thermistor RT3, has in-
creased to 337°F (169.4°C). It will be allowed to restart
when temperature decreases to 336°F (168.9°C). To re-
start unit, press UNIT switch to STOP/RESET position,
then to START position.
This analog check acts as a backup check to the digital
check performed by safety device HT1. HT1 is a cali-
brated to trip 330°F (165.6°C).
SUN 12:00 AM AUXILIARY SAFETY SHUTDOWN
Unit has shut down because an external device con-
nected to digital input board TB1-31 has initiated a shut-
down. This input is a general purpose input that can be
used to annunciate a user-defined safety shutdown. Typi-
cal application is normally open contacts that close to
apply 115VAC to TB-31 to initiate a shutdown. The unit
will be allowed to restart when the contacts open. To
restart unit, press UNIT switch to STOP/RESET posi-
tion, then to START position.
SUN 12:00 AM POWER FAILURE – MANUAL RESTART
The chiller has shut down because there has been a
power failure or interruption with the Control Center con-
figured for “Manual Restart After Power Failure” (Micro
Board program jumper J50 is OUT). After power is re-
stored, the unit can be restarted pressing the UNIT switch
to STOP/RESET position, then to START position.
SUN 12:00 AM CHILLED WATER FLOW SWITCH
The unit has shut down because the chilled water flow
switch (CHFLS) has opened while the unit was running
or did not close within 30 seconds of initiating a start.
This check is bypassed for the first 30 seconds of “Cool-
ing Start Sequence Initiated”. To restart unit, press the
UNIT switch to STOP/RESET position, then to START
position.
SUN 12:00 AM HIGH STEAM SUPPLY TEMP
(Steam Units Only)
(EPROM version A.02F.00)
Unit has shut down because the steam supply tempera-
ture, as sensed by thermistor RT7, has increased to
285°F (140.1°C). It will be allowed to restart when tem-
perature decreases to 284°F (140°C). To restart unit,
press UNIT switch to STOP/RESET position, then to
START position.
(EPROM version A.02F.01 or later)
The unit has shut down because the steam supply tem-
perature, as sensed by thermistor RT7, has increased
to the shutdown threshold. The actual shutdown thresh-
old is determined by the position of Micro Board pro-
gram jumper JP5. The unit design determines the ap-
propriate position of this jumper: Standard temperature
units require the jumper to be in, high temperature units
(equipped with additional tube supports) require the
jumper be removed. This jumper must never be changed
by anyone but a qualified service technician. The unit
can be restarted when the temperature decreases to
the reset threshold. To restart the unit, press UNIT switch
to STOP/RESET position, then to START position. The
thresholds are as follows:
JP5 – IN – Standard units,
Shutdown threshold = 290.0°F (143.3°C)
Reset threshold
= 289.0°F (142.8°C)
OUT – High temperature units,
Shutdown threshold = 340.0°F (171.1°C)
Reset threshold
= 339.0°F (170.1°C)
SUN 12:00 AM HIGH HOT WATER SUPPLY TEMP
(Hot Water Units Only)
(EPROM version A.02F.00)
Unit has shut down because the hot water supply tem-
