Alternatively, Tadiran TL-5930/S, SL-2780/S or
VITZROCELL SB-D02 batteries may be purchased
and used.

• Transportation of products containing lithium
batteries
Batteries used for this product contain lithium.
Primary lithium batteries are regulated in
transportation by the U.S. Department of
Transportation, and are also covered by the
International Air Transport Association (IATA), the
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and
the European Ground Transportation of Dangerous
Goods (ARD). It is the responsibility of the shipper
to ensure compliance with these or any other local
requirements. Consult current regulations and
requirements before shipping.
• Procedure to replace and dispose of the
batteries of the product
Below is an explanation about the new EU Battery
Directive (DIRECTIVE 2006/66/EC). This directive
is only valid in the EU.
Batteries are used for this product. When you
remove batteries from this product and dispose
them, discard them in accordance with domestic
law concerning disposal.
Take a right action on waste batteries, because the
collection systems in the EU on waste batteries are
regulated.

The symbol (see above), which is marked on the
batteries, means they shall be sorted out and
collected as ordained in ANNEXII in DIRECTIVE
2006/66/EC
8.4.4 Removing and reattaching of the All-
weather protector
In case you need to perform sensitivity calibration
of microphone, you need to remove the All-weather
protector. Refer the 5.3 “Mounting the All-weather
protector” to remove and re-attach the all-weather
protector.
8.4.5 Windscreen
The windscreen consists of two polyurethane foam
parts. The upper outer part is hollow and sealed by
a lower ring-shaped part.

Removing
• upper outer part :
Remove the upper part of the windscreen with care.
NOTE
When the upper part is lifted upward, ensure
that the lower part stay fixed – otherwise the rain
hood above may be harmed.
• lower part :
You may remove the lower part of the windscreen,
but this will damage this part since it is glued to the
steel body by double sided tape. If the tape is not
“sticky anymore it should be replaced by a high-
quality double-sided tape.
■ Cleaning
The outer part of the windscreen may be cleaned
by washing it by hand using standard household
washing up detergents. Ensure that it has been
thoroughly rinsed in clean water and is completely
dry before it is remounted. Do not use excessive
heat for the drying: 85ºC maximum.
■ Replace
We recommend to replace the upper outer part
every second year. In some locations, near to
chemical complexes or in coastal installations
it may be necessary to replace the windscreen
earlier.
The lower part of the windscreen is normally not
needed to replace unless it is damaged or has
become crispy.
