2.4 Analyzing/Searching Data
• When Frame Pattern (Pattern Search) Is Selected
Setting the Pattern Format

Turn the jog shuttle to move the cursor to Pattern Format.

Press SELECT to select Hex or Bin.
Setting the Source

Turn the jog shuttle to move the cursor to Source.

Press SELECT to select Data1 or Data2.
Setting the Data Byte

Turn the jog shuttle to move the cursor to Data Byte.

Press SELECT to display the entry box.

Turn the jog shuttle to set a value between 1 and 8. Pressing RESET resets the
number to “8.”
Setting the Data Pattern

Turn the jog shuttle to move the cursor to the bit for setting the Data Pattern.

Press SELECT to display the entry box.

Turn the jog shuttle to set the value. Bits set to “X” will not be used as a search
condition. Press SELECT or ESC to close the entry box. The value will be
confirmed.
Press ESC to close the dialog box. Proceed to step 52.
• When Indefinite State (Indefinite Data Search) Is Selected
You do not have to set any items.
Press ESC to close the dialog box. Proceed to step 52.
Executing the Search

Press the Prev soft key to search data existing before the current position.
Press the Next soft key to search data existing after the current position. When
a match is found in a pattern search, the corresponding byte in the analysis
result display on the right side of the screen is highlighted, and the ZOOM
display moves accordingly. In an indefinite data search, the byte in which
indefinite data is present in Data1 or Data2 is highlighted.
