New Call
If you wish to make another call while putting the current
call on hold, tap the New Call soft key and the screen will
change to ‘Making a Call’ mode described above. Select the
number you wish to connect to and you may then have a 3-
way conversation with both calling or called parties.
End Call
Terminates the call.
Receiving a 2nd Call
If a 2
nd
party calls you while you are speaking to the 1
st
party the screen shows
‘Incoming call’ and displays the details of the caller. This makes the soft keys:

Forward Silence Reject
Answer Tapping the Answer soft key puts the 1
st
party on hold and
allows you to speak to the incoming call. The screen will change
the soft keys to the Call Connect options of Transfer, Hold,
Conference and End Call described above.
Forward If you wish to forward the incoming call to another phone tap the
Forward soft key. You will then be requested to enter the
number to which you want the call to be transferred. You may
use any short code you’ve attributed to a number on the portal
website. If using the Directory soft key select the LDAP option
to access the portal website directories.
Silence
No effect
Reject
If you do not wish to take an incoming call on your phone tap
the Reject soft key. The caller will then either hear the engaged
tone or, if any Voice mail feature such as Call Forwarding to
Voice Mail has been activated for this phone number on the
portal website, they will hear a short message, typically “The
person on number XXX is on the phone, please leave your
messages after the tone. When you have finished hang up or tap
the hash key”. The phone screen will display a missed call icon
together with the number of calls missed and will log the
numbers. Alternatively it will display the voice mail icon
if
that facility is activated via the portal website.
The Reject command deactivates automatically on the incoming call
terminating.
