7. ADJUSTMENT AND REPAIR

2) Reinstallation

Reinstall the fuel tank in the reverse order of the removal procedure.

Note:

Before reinstalling the fuel tank, clean up the inside of it. In particular, remove the deposits on the bottom of the fuel
tank completely.

Nut tightening order and tightening torque for fuel tank clamp

(1)

Tighten the flanged nut 10 B at a tightening torque of 2

45 to 2

94 N•m.

(2)

Tighten the flanged nut 10 C at a tightening torque of 24

5 to 32

4 N•m.

Procedure

(3) Remove the side cover R

, and then remove the drain

plug

from the fuel tank

to drain the fuel.

(4) Disconnect the fuel hose

(the fuel filter

to the fuel tank

) and the fuel hose

(the fuel tank

to the pre-filter

Then, remove the fuel tank clamp

and remove the fuel

tank

from the turning frame
