Disconnect the auto choke unit coupler
from wire harness.

Connect the pocket tester(

Ω

1) to the

Auto choke unit coupler as shown.

Positive tester probe

green/black

Negative tester probe

yellow

Measure the auto choke unit resistance.

Auto choke unit resistance

Ω

at 20°C

Is the auto choke unit OK?

YES

5. Wiring

Check the entire auto choke system’s
wiring.
Refer to “CIRCUIT DIAGRAM”.

Is the auto choke system’s wiring prop-
erly connected and without defects?

YES

Replace the auto choke
unit.

Properly connect or repair
the auto choke system’s
wiring.
