• Make sure that the arrow mark “a” on the piston
head faces toward the push rod cavity.
Make sure that the “YAMAHA” mark “b” on the
connecting rod faces toward the crankcase
cover.
7. Install:
• Connecting rod cap “1”
TIP
• Install the connecting rod cap making sure that
the arrow mark “a” on the connecting rod “2” is
aligned with the arrow mark “b” on the connect-
ing rod cap.
• Tighten the connecting rod cap bolts to the
specification in order.

8. Install:
• Balancer “1”
TIP
Align the punch mark “a” on the crankshaft “2”
with the punch mark “b” on the balancer.
