Using the Timer Functions

Press the [STOP/ESC 

] button twice.

The recorder displays the main screen.

Note:

· The crossed-out timer indicator (

) means that Timer recording is unavailable due to 

one of the following reasons:

- There is no available recording time.
- The specified folder contains 199 files.
- The unit is currently playing back.
- The unit is currently recording.
- You are currently setting menu items.

· To remove the timer indicator (

), cancel the programmed Timer recording.

· Timer recording will be cancelled once the programmed Timer recording has been exe-

cuted.

· You cannot program Timer recording if the alarm has already been programmed, and 

vice versa.

Canceling Timer recording

Select [CANCEL] as in step 2 of the “Programming Timer 
recording” procedure, then press the [MENU/ENTER] 
button.

Programming the alarm

If you program the alarm, it will sound at the specified time. You can specify your favorite song as 
the alarm sound instead of a beep. Before you proceed, make sure that the date and time on the 
unit have been set correctly (see 

page 9

).

Press the [MENU/ENTER] button for at least two 
(2) seconds while the main screen is displayed, 
press the [VOL +/-] buttons to select [COMMON 
MENU] 

 [TIMER & ALARM], then press the 

[MENU/ENTER] button.

2.

Press the [VOL +/-] buttons to select [ALARM], 
then press the [MENU/ENTER] button.

The recorder displays the alarm indicator.
