Synchronizing the carburetor

 

1.

Attach the special service tool 

 

1

 

  to the

spark plug wire #1 

 

a

 

.

2.

Start the engine and warm up for 5–10
minutes.

3.

Remove all of the plugs 

 

2

 

 and attach the

special service tool and adapters to the
carburetor assembly.

TIP:

 

For best results, use a commercially avail-
able vacuum gauge

 with four adapters like

the one shown in the illustration.

 

4.

Adjust the engine idle speed to 1000
r/min by turning the throttle stop screw

Turn the throttle valve adjusting screws

uum variation as carburetor #4.

Adjust the engine idle speed to the spec-
ification by turning the throttle stop screw
