Changing the position of your boat in SetPoint mode
You can change your boat’s heading or move its position while SetPoint mode is operating.
If you want to move the current position of your boat forward, reverse, left, or right tilt the joystick. To
change the heading, twist the joystick. Operate the joystick to start moving or changing the heading,
and then your boat will again maintain that new position or heading. You can operate the joystick up
to 10 times successively in the same direction, and the boat will change heading or position accord-
ing to the number of successive inputs.
TIP:
• You can push and hold your long press on the panel or long twist of the joystick to reach total
amount desired (up to 50 degrees). You will hear one beep per each 5 degrees of change.
• For DRIFTPOINT TRACK only, tilting the joystick in the opposite direction does not cancel the
operation.
• You can change the amount of adjustment for each operation by doing the settings on the MFD.
You can select a distance to move from 1.5 m, 3 m, or 6 m (5 ft, 10 ft, or 20 ft).
Rotating left or right: 5°/1 operation (50°/10 successive inputs)
• Each operation of the joystick is triggered when the joystick returns to the center position after
twisting or tilting it toward the direction you want to change heading or move position.
• While SetPoint is enabled, the boat stops at the point where you move or change the boat’s head-
ing by moving the joystick. In addition, if you move the joystick in a direction different from the pre-
vious joystick operation, that movement is cancelled before the boat starts the new movement.
• To do successive inputs, each joystick operation must be done within three seconds. If the interval
exceeds three seconds, successive input stops.
