Operation

(9) Reinstall the hull drain plug.
NOTICE:
Tighten the hull drain plug securely
before launching the boat. Otherwise,
water may flood the boat and cause it
to submerge. Clean any foreign mate-
rial, such as dirt or sand, from the
threads and the O-ring on the hull
drain plug before installing the drain
plug.
(10) Spray a rust inhibitor, such as Yamaha
Silicone Protectant and Lubricant, on
metallic parts to minimize corrosion.
(11) Use a boat cover designed for your boat,
or store the boat in a building or under a
canopy or carport in order to prevent rain
from falling onto the boat. Because all of
the water will not be drained from the
deck automatically, take sufficient mea-
sures to prevent rainwater from entering
the boat.
NOTICE:
Make sure that the
turnbuckles on the boat cover do not
contact the boat directly when using
the cover. Otherwise, the boat could
be damaged.
(12) Turn the battery switch to the OFF (red)
position. (See page 32 for more informa-
tion.)
