Confirming the location of the other station
When latitude and longitude data is included in the signal of the other station, you may check the distance and direc-
tion of the other station in real time on the transceiver screen.
FT3D

Press the [
DISP
] key to display the compass screen. Press the [
DISP
] key again to
return to the normal screen.
FTM-300D
:
Press the [
DISP
] key on the connection screen to display the compass screen. Press
the [
DISP
] key again to return to the normal screen.

] (SETUP) key to display the compass screen. Press the [
DISP
]
(SETUP) key twice to return to the normal screen.
Registering the connected node or room in the category list
FT3D/FT2D
1. Touch the node or room you want to connect to.
Displays the category list.
2. Touch

ADD
］
.
3. Touch the desired category.
The name of the node or room you are currently connected to is added to the list
of the registered node and room lists.
If the selected category is already registered with the same node or room, a beep
sounds and it will not register.
4. Press the [
BACK
] key twice to return to the connection screen.
