Handling and Disposal of AA batteries

•  This product uses alkaline dry-cell batteries or NiMH (nickel metal hydride) rechargeable 

batteries.

•  Check the orientation of the + and - poles and insert the batteries facing in the correct 

direction.

•  Remove dead batteries from the Water Flosser and dispose of them in accordance with 

local waste sorting rules.

•  The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
•  Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
•  The type and quality of the AA batteries used will affect product performance.
•  When replacing a battery, be sure to use a new battery of the same type and the same 

brand.

•  Replace batteries when flosser is no longer effective.
•  Remove batteries when the appliance will not be used for a long period of time.
•  The lifetime of ordinary batteries is around 40 uses.
•  Be sure to observe the precautions printed on the batteries.
•  Remove dead batteries promptly.
•  Use dry-cell batteries before their recommended expiration dates.
•  When using NiMH (nickel metal hydride) rechargeable batteries, read the instruction 

manuals of the batteries and charger, and use them correctly.

Caution

The use of lithium batteries will void the product warranty. Such batteries may also damage the 
product.

Storing the product

•  After use, be sure to fully wipe off any water and dry the product before storing it. If the 

product is left with water on it, it may cause corrosion inside the main unit.

•  If the product will not be used for a long period of time, clean the main unit before storing it.
•  If the product will not be used for a prolonged period, remove the AA batteries.
•  Do not place the product close to fire, exposed to direct sunlight, in a bathroom or other 

location exposed to high temperatures and humidity or in an unstable location. Store it in a 
clean location with good ventilation.

•  Store the product in a location out of the reach of children.

Maintenance and inspection

•  If the product was not used for a long period of time, be sure to check that the product 

operates correctly and safely before using it.

•  If there is any problem with operation of the product, before requesting repairs, refer to the 

“Troubleshooting” (P.14) section and check the trouble. If the problem is still not corrected, 
contact the retailer where you purchased the product, or prepare the purchase invoice and 
contact the YA-MAN Call Center (P.16).

•  If the product has malfunctioned or is damaged, contact the retailer where you purchased the 

product.
