5. INTENDED USE
The oil-free compressor is used to generate compressed air using a piston mechanism. One of
the main advantages over a conventional belt-driven or direct-acting air compressor is the
absence of oil and lubrication, resulting in practice in lower maintenance costs, lower risk of air
contamination with oil particles, and lower noise levels.
In addition to common household and workshop applications, the compressed air from an oil-
free compressor can also be used to drive pneumatic tools, in the livestock, food, chemical, and
pharmaceutical industries, in laboratories, and many other fields.
