DRIVING OF SCREWS
Select a driver bit with the same drive type as the selected screw head. There are many sizes of
common and special drive types to choose from, such as PH, PZ, SL, TRX, HEX, square, etc.
Insert the tip of the driver bit into the head of the screw and gently push the tool. Squeeze the
trigger slightly and then gradually increase the speed as required while maintaining constant
pressure on the fastener. Once the screw is tightened and the torque clutch engages, release the
trigger and check the screw is tight.
When driving a screw into wood, pre-drill a pilot hole of two thirds the diameter of the screw. It will
make it easier to drive the screw into the material and to a greatly prevent the material from
breaking or damaging.
DRILLING
Turn the ring so that the arrow on the top of the drill is aligned with the
drill symbol

When drilling into wood , you will achieve best results using wood drill bits equipped with a self-
centering point. The centering tip makes drilling the workpiece easier and more precise. There are
a large number of types of wood drill bits with different diameters, helix types, geometry, lengths,
etc.
When drilling into metal , try to prevent the bit from slipping when starting the hole. Use a hole
punch and mark the center of the drilled hole. Place the drill tip in the marked location and start
drilling. Use water or suitable cutting oils when drilling metal. The exceptions are iron and brass,
which should be drilled dry.
CAUTION!
• Increased pressure on the tool does not increase the drilling speed. In fact, this excess
pressure can damage the drill bit, reduce tool performance and shorten tool life.
• Hold the drill firmly and be careful especially when the drill starts to penetrate the
workpiece. At the moment of drilling a hole, a large force is exerted on the tool/drill.
• A jammed bit can usually be removed from the hole by switching the switch to the reverse
position. Hold the drill firmly, a jammed drill can be released very quickly.
• Always clamp workpieces in a vice, secure with suitable clamps or other appropriate
means.
