6. Install the MP Hose (28)
A. Install o-ring (14) into the swivel nut assembly on
the MP hose (28).
B. Thread the MP hose on to the inlet fitting. While
holding the adjacent retaining nut (8) stationary with
an 11/16” wrench, apply a torque value of 40 in/lbs
(4.5 Nm) to the hose swivel nut.
7. Subjective Breathing Test
A. Pressurize the regulator
B. Depress the purge button to ensure an adequate
volume of air needed to clear the regulator passes
through the mouthpiece
C. Inhale slowly but deeply through the mouthpiece.
A properly serviced and adjusted regulator should
deliver air without excessive effort or resistance. It
should not flutter, shudder or stutter
D. Afterward, there should be no freeflow, hissing or
leaking
E. Exhalation should be smooth and effortless. The
exhaust valve should not stick to the main housing
F. If any of these problems occur, refer to the
troubleshooting guide.
