7.1
When Problems Occur
Check the conditions of the printer again before treating it as a breakdown.
If the problem cannot be solved by the suggested treatment below, proceed to "7.2 When the Print
Quality is Poor" and "7.3 Messages" to carry out the appropriate treatment.
This printer uses precision parts and high voltage.
Never open any panels or covers that are secured with screws unless specifically instructed in this user guide.
There is a danger of electric shock as there are internal parts of high voltage. If you have to carry out any
disassembling operation of panels and covers, make sure you follow the instructions in the relevant user guides.
Never try to alter the printer configuration or modify any parts as it may cause fire or smoke.

Are the printer breaker switch and
power switch turned on?
Turn on the printer breaker switch
and power switch.
Is the power cord securely
connected?
Turn off the power switch and check
that the power cord is plugged in
properly.
Then turn on the power switch.
Is the power voltage suitable?
Check that the power source is 110 V
(60 Hz), 220 - 240 V (50/60 Hz).
Check that the power capacity
matches the printer highest
consumption power indicated in the
User Guide (Copier).
Cannot print.
Is the Online indicator of the printer
control panel off?
The printer is in the pause state or
the menu setting state. Treat
accordingly as follows:

"Pause"
Press
to exit the pause state.

Press
to exit the menu set-
ting state.
Is there any message being shown
on the display?
Treat according to the message
displayed.
