Trim adjustment should be checked at the beginning of
each job.

The Trimmer40 will trim a minimum thickness of one
sheet and a maximum thickness of a booklet equivalent
to twenty (20) folded sheets of 24lb. paper (about 2 mm).

The Trimmer40 is designed to remove the outside
"shingle" edge (opposite the stitch) of a finished booklet
to make a flat surface. It will not change the overall
booklet size. The maximum trim distance is 12.5 mm.

The width of the booklet after the trim operation may vary
up to 2.0 mm, as measured from the fold to trimmed edge
of the booklet.

Trimmer40 sheet-to-sheet variation within the set,
measured along trimmed edge, may vary by up to 0.5 mm
and peak-to-peak variation within the set, measured
along trimmed edge, may vary by up to 1 mm. See
diagram below.

It will be necessary to process up to 5 booklets after
staple cassette replacement to prime the stapler.

It is the ASF 40 operators’ responsibility to perform the
following
maintenance
activities:
•
Replace staple cartridge.
•
Removal and disposal of trim bin when full.
•
Cleaning of stapler head when required
