Caution
Detergent can run off through the retentate nozzle.
In the case of drinking water or sensitive surface water, remove the out-
let tube from the retentate nozzle.
After the cleaning procedure has been completed, the PurCon supplies
a sufficient amount of permeate again.
5.4 Cleaning the air filter
The air filter has the task of protecting the compressor from particles
and contamination. Drawn-in particles collect in the air filter so that
cleaning is required each quarter.
10 Remove the funnel and screw the cap or the PurCon air outlet
to the cleaning solution filler nozzle again.
11 Allow the cleaning solution to act for approx. 30 min.
12 Set the permeate pump to the setting, 2.
13 Switch on the PurCon at the power switch.
14 Leave the PurCon in this state for 30 min (cleaning solution
acts).
15 By opening the Outlet valve, empty the sample preparation
instrument.
16 Repeat the cleaning procedure with water.
Meanwhile, let the permeate pump run at its fastest speed
(rotary switch to position 4).
Discard the permeate.
17 Leave the PurCon in this state for 30 min (detergent is dis-
solved by the water).
18 By opening the Outlet valve, empty the sample preparation
instrument.
19 After approx. 30 s, set the valve to the sample preparation posi-
tion again.
20 Start the feed transport again.
21 Switch on the permeate pump again (set the Permeate switch
to the required position).
22 Discard the permeate for 10 min.
