5.1 Displacing the pump tubings
The displacement of the pump tubings is necessary to prevent the
mechanical wear of the pump tubings becoming too great.
If this activity is carried out regularly, the lifetime of the pump tubings
may exceed 6 months. The displacement can be carried out up to 5
times before the pump tubings become unusable.
To displace the pump tubings, carry out the following steps:

1 Switch off the permeate pump (bring the Permeate selector
switch into position 0).
2 Loosen the pump cassettes on the gripping lever.
3 Take the pump cassettes out of the holder by pressing the
clamp strap.
4 Take the pump tubings out of the cassettes and clamp them
again between the two unused stoppers in the pump cassettes.
5 Insert the pump cassettes in the holder again.
6 Tension the gripping lever.
7 Bring the permeate pump to the required speed of rotation
again on the Permeate selector switch.
