NOTE
This vehicle is equipped with a foam air filter. If the
filter element is very dirty, it must be replaced.
Removal and cleaning
- Remove the screws (1) and remove the air filter
cover.
- Remove the screws (3) and take out the filter
element (4).
- Clean the dirt in the filter element with compres-
sed air if necessary.
Installation
- Carry out the removal operation in reverse order.
CAUTION
Never operate the vehicle with a dirty air filter.
- Excessive dirt in the filter results in loss of engine
performance and increased fuel consumption.
- Change the air filter frequently in order to extend
the life of the engine if the vehicle is frequently used
in dusty areas.
- Always make sure that the filter is correctly insta-
lled in place.
- Failure to do so may cause irreversible damage to
the engine.
- Make sure that the filter does not get wet when
washing the vehicle.
