7. SYSTEM ASSEMBLY
7.4 USB Keyboard
Besides the digital inputs, the Workswell GIS 320 system can be controlled also via standard USB keyboard. Once
the keyboard is connected, it can be used for navigation in system menu, for image capturing, video recording,
mode switching, zoom or setting numerical values.
Warning : Do NOT connect GIS 320 to any other powered device (such as PC) through the full size USB
port on the rear of GIS 320. As the rear USB port is powered, connection to another powered USB port
can lead to permanent damage to either device. Only unpowered devices (USB Keyboards and USB Flash
Storage drives) are to be connected into the rear USB A port of GIS 320.

7.5 USB On‐The‐Go
The Workswell GIS 320’s internal SSD memory can be accessed directly using an USB On‐The‐Go connection
between with any system capable of correctly accessing the standard USB mass storage such as a PC with MS
Windows or GNU/Linux.
To connect to the internal memory, use a standard USB Micro B connector cable and plug it into the connector
in the side of GIS 320.
If communication is successfully established, most modern operating systems will automatically report presence
of a mass storage device and allow access to the data.
