1. Check oil level in power unit reservoir.
2. Change oil and filters in power unit
per manufacturer’s recommendations.

Hydraulic hose
failure.
1. Hose being pinched.
2. Hoses worn or frayed.
3. Hydraulic relief pressure on power
unit too high.
1. Reroute hose and fasten out of harms
way.
2. Replace hose.
3. Adjust relief pressure (if possible) or
change power unit.
Blade will not
penetrate soil.
1. Cutting edge dull.
2. Soil too hard.
1. Replace cutting edge.
2. Loosen soil with scarifiers or disk.
Wait for rain.
Grader blade
moldboard shear
pin shears
excessively.
1. Hitting hidden objects.
2. Hitting end of moldboard on
stumps, concrete curb, or corner
of building.
3. Do not load either end of the
blade heavily. Try to balance the
load on both ends of the blade.
1. Know soil conditions. Use slow speed
when soil conditions unknown. Always
check work area.
2. Have operator use care when driving
close to obstacles.
3. Retrain operator.
Unable to hold
level grade.
1. Soil too hard.
2. Skid steer loader arms leaking up.
3. Possible laser control problem.
1. Loosen soil with scarifiers or disk.
2. Check seals in loader arm lift cylin-
ders and valve.
3. See if problem persists with laser con-
trol off and check laser manual.
