Blade Guide Flange Spacing

Sawmill Setup

Measure the distance from the bed rail to the bottom edge of the tool.

If the measurement from the tool to the bed rail is not equal within 1/32" (.75 mm), adjust

the vertical tilt of the outer blade guide roller.

See Figure 4-7.

Loosen one set screw at the side of the blade guide assembly.

Loosen the jam nuts on the top and bottom vertical tilt adjustment screws.

To tilt the roller up, loosen the bottom screw and tighten top screw.

To tilt the roller down, loosen the top screw and tighten the bottom screw.

Tighten the jam nuts and recheck the tilt of the blade.

INNER BLADE GUIDE

Move the blade guide alignment tool close to the inner blade guide roller assembly and

repeat the above steps.

13.

Adjust the vertical tilt of the inner blade guide, if necessary.

Blade Guide Flange Spacing

Each blade guide must be adjusted so the roller flange is the correct distance from the

back edge of the blade. If the flange is too close to or too far from the blade, the sawmill

will not cut accurately.
