Step #13: Ensure that the internal antenna UF.L connector (4) is connected to the mainboard.
Step #14: Mount an LTE antenna to the external antenna connector on the device.
Step #15: Install the modem enclosure (1) by the bottom-side and fasten / mount to wall – near
to the meter – or
mount to the wall of the water pit or the water pipe/pipeline in a fixed position
by pipe clamps.
Step #16: Install the external antenna magnetic mount to a metal part to fixate on the drain
cover – to ensure open sky or undisturbed conditions for the antenna for the celular network
signal reception.
It is also necessary to have appropriate signal strength of the cellular network at the operating
location/site. You can change the position of the antenna on the location for a better signal
coverage.
Step #17: Put the enclosure’s top cover (2) and fasten the four screws (3).
Then the internal tamper switch (10) will be pushed and the device will be turned into
configuration mode for 10 minutes – during this mode the LED signals will be active. Afterall the
modem will be turned off and will be operating by its normal mode at the next wake-up cycle and
will be sending data according to the presets (settings) you made on the modem. The LED will
be inactive due to energy saving reasons.
Step #18: When the APN and remote connection are already configured, the device will be able
to connect to the NB-IoT network and send data. The connection and wireless transmission will
be signed by its LED signal.
Important! When the configuration was unsuccesful or a failure came up, then remove the
enclosure’s top cover. Fix the issue and place the cover back to the modem’s enclosure. Therefore
the modem will continue its operation sequence from the listed nr. 17. step.
