6. At the root directory of the USB drive, enter the command
update
to
start the updating the BIOS.
7. When the update has completed, there is a 5-second pause and then
the computer automatically restarts.
8. Press
F2
to open the BIOS setup menu and select
Load Setup
Defaults
.
9. To finish the update, select
Exit Saving Changes
.
10.1.4 Install USB 3.1 Gen 1 Windows 7 Driver
The SYS-ITX-N-3800 uses the Bay Trail platform.
For the Windows 7 Operating System (OS), use the following configuration
to be able to use the required USB 3.1 Gen 1 driver. Perform this
procedure before installing Windows 7.
NOTE Windows 10 can use the USB 3.1 Gen 1 driver directly; this procedure is for
Windows 7.
1. Restart the computer and then press the
F2
key to open the BIOS
setup menu.
2. From the Advanced tab on the USB Configuration screen:
– Set XCHCI Mode to
[Disable]
.
– Set EHCI Controller to
[Enable]
.
3. After completing the installation of Windows 7, from the Advanced
tab
on the USB Configuration screen:
– Set XCHCI Mode to
[Smart Auto]
.
– Leave EHCI Controller at
[Enable]
.
4. Restart the computer and allow Windows 7 to complete the startup.
5. Install the USB 3.1 Gen 1 driver.
6. Restart the computer and then press the
F2
key to open the BIOS
setup menu.
7. From the Advanced tab on the USB Configuration screen:
– Set XCHCI Mode to
[Enable]
.
– Set EHCI Controller to
[Disable]
.
8. To complete the installation, restart the computer and allow Windows
7 to complete the startup.
