During use and especially near obstacles and small rooms, it must be ensured that
the user sits quietly and keeps the arms inside the armrests to prevent damage.
•
The caregiver should always use the handles for movement when using the chair. Do
not use feet to push the bottom frame when turning, accelerating or similar.
•
Smoking of cigarettes or similar and use of open flames such at matches are not
allowed during use of Triton/Dual
•
Under special circumstances a build-up of static electricity can occur (e.g. using on a
plastic floor or in very dry air). These conditions should be avoided but are not
dangerous for the user.
•
Always activate the brakes, if there is any danger of inadvertent movement e.g. on a
ramp or slope and during normal use. For safety reasons, it is recommended to
activate the brakes when the user is transferred to and from the chair and whenever
possible.
•
When using the chair with other equipment ensure that no dangerous situations can
occur. Keep an eye out for wires, slings, tubing, etc.
•
Make sure that the chair is correct positioned for the user and neither the user or
caregiver is injured during use. See chapter 1.3
before use.
It is the responsibility of the caregiver, to ensure that the chair is used correct and safe.
Before use
The caregiver or user is responsible for making the following checks before use:
1)
The caregiver has received instructions in how to use the chair or read the user
guide
2)
Check, that no parts are missing, and the product is assembled correct.
3)
Check, that the accessories are mounted correctly, and suited the user.
4)
Check the chair for abnormal sounds, signs of wear, tear or other defects.
5)
Check, that the battery alarm does not sound when used.
6)
Check that the annual service check has been carried out.
