Storage
Warning:
Non-compliance with these steps might lead to residues in the carburettor leading to serious
starting problems or lasting damages after storing.
1.
Carry out all general maintenance work recommended in the “maintenance” section of the op-
erating manual.
2.
Clean the outer surface of the device.
3.
Empty the fuel out of the fuel tank.
4.
Start the motor after the fuel has been emptied.
5.
Let the motor run with idle-speed until the fuel remaining is consumed.
6.
Let the motor cool down (approx. 5
min).
7.
Use a spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug.
8.
Add 1 teaspoon of clean 2-stroke oil into the combustion chamber. Pull the starter rope several
times slowly to lubricate the inner components. Re-place the spark plug.
9.
Store the device in a cool, dry play, away from ignition sources such as oil burner, water heater,
etc.
Returning the device from storage
1.
Remove the spark plug.
2.
Pull the starter rope quickly to remove the excess oil from the combustion chamber.
3.
Clean the spark plug slot or install a new spark plug with an according slot.
4.
Prepare the device before use.
5.
Fill the fuel tank with the right fuel-oil mix (see “fuel and oil” section).
