WIKA operating instructions temperature transmitter T32.xS
37
The version T32.1x.0lS is designed for installation in housings or
connection heads in areas with 1G, 2G or 1D, 2D requirements.
The version T32.1x.0IS is intended for installation in a housing
which guarantees at least protection class IP 20 (2G application or
installation outside the hazardous area) or IP 6x (2D application).
10.2 Specific conditions for safe use
T32.3S.xxx:
The surface of the case is not conductive. The temperature transmitter
must be mounted in a way that electrostatic charges will not occur.
T32.xx.0NI (use as energy-limited equipment II 3G Ex nL):
The supply current circuit must fulfil the requirements for ignition
protection type II 3G Ex nL energy-limited per EN 60079-15. These
temperature transmitters must be mounted in a case that must at
least correspond to following ingress protection IP 54 according to
EN 60529/IEC 60529.
T32.xx.0NI (use as non-incentive equipment II 3G Ex nA):
Disconnection of power supply is forbidden inside the hazardous
area. When connecting or disconnecting the terminals ensure the
power supply is disconnected outside the hazardous area.
These temperature transmitters must be mounted in a case that
must at least correspond to following ingress protection IP 54 in
accordance with EN 60529/IEC 60529.
The holes in the connection terminals (T32.1S.0NI, T32.1R.0NI) or the
additional connections labelled "Modem" (T32.3S.0NI, T32.3R.0NI)
shall not be used in connection with type of protection nA.
When during use in circuits with the safety class nA (non-incendive)
the permissible connected loads have been exceeded for a short
term
1)
, the use of these transmitters in circuits with the safety class
Ex nL (energy limited) is not permissible any more.
1) When the transmitters are used in circuits with the safety class nA, it is permissible to exceed the
maximum supply voltage by up to 40 % for a short term.
