When using the WFT-E2/E2A (firmware ver. 2.0.0) with an EOS-1D Mark IV, you can use two
additional functions not mentioned in the original WFT-E2/E2A instruction manual. Below,
instructions for these new functions are described with reference to information in the WFT-E2/
E2A manual.
Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) compatibility
The firmware enables easy access to WPS-compatible wireless LAN access points.
Choosing [
Wireless LAN
] in “Selecting the LAN Type” (p.14 of the manual) will display the
following screen ([
Wireless LAN setup method
]).
Selecting [
WPS (PCB mode)
] or [
WPS (PIN mode)
] makes it easy to access WPS-
compatible wireless LAN access points. For details, refer to “WPS Connection (PBC Mode)”
and “WPS Connection (PIN Mode)”
on pages 3 and 4 below.
Note that selecting [
Connect with wizard
] enables you to complete the wireless LAN
settings as usual.
After the WPS connection is established, the following [
Network
] screen is displayed.
