Explanation and Recommended Procedure
F07
Motor Control Internal Failure
The ACU may have detected damage to the motor.
Possible Causes
• Check ACU by running Service Test Cycle: if failure occurs, replace the ACU.
• Motor or motor control over-temperature.
• Check the resistance of the motor windings.
• Check the wire harness and connections between the motor and ACU.
Only during Service

F10
Drum Overload (Over-temperature)
The ACU has detected a temperature that is too high. This error code is
hidden from the consumer. The cycle will continue with reduced or no motor
movement. This error code is normally not visible during the Service Test Cycle
because it is the result of a motor that has been running for a long time under
heavy load.
Possible Causes
• Check the drum for mechanical friction (move the drum slowly and very
briefly).
• Check for trapped laundry.
• Check for noise or friction during drum rotation.
• Check if the washer was overloaded.
• Check if the washer ran several consecutive and/or long cycles.
• Make sure the ambient temperature of the laundry area is not too high.
• Make sure that the washer installation is correct, particularly if the washer is
built-in.
• Check motor for a defect (see
F06
section).
• Check the ACU (see TEST #1: ACU Power Check, page 3-4).
(Eventually the
“Door Open” icon
will also be on)
F13
ACU Failure On Door Lock Control Circuit
If the ACU detects a defect of the door lock triac or switch, F13 is displayed. This
check is done at the start of a cycle and at the end of a cycle.
Possible Causes
• Check the wiring and harness between the ACU and the door lock.
• Check if the door contact of the door lock is closed when the door is closed.
• Make sure the door lock can lock and unlock (see
F29
section).
• Check the ACU (see TEST #1: ACU Power Check, page 3-4).
F18
or
Fod
Suds (Foam) Detected During Wash Cycle
If the washer is unable to drain the water after the wash cycle, or unable to spin
after several attempts, this error code is displayed.
Possible Causes
• Consumer used too much detergent.
• Check for a problem with the pump hoses.
• Check drain pump for foreign objects.
• Check the electrical resistance of the drain pump.
• Check pressure sensor function.
• Verify that pressure hose is in good condition and properly connected to the
tub and pressure sensor.
• Verify that there is not a siphon problem.
• Check the air trap and hose connection to pressure sensor.
• Check all possible causes in
F03
section.
