A P P E N D I C E S

Editing the Network Text Files

Note: It is very important to save the edited file on your PC. This can help in the

event a typo prevents you from connecting after re-boot.

Once connected via FTP to the E-WHEATNET’s flash hard drive you will see a

directory listing of files and an FDOS folder.

• Locate the “xp_net.txt” file in the file list.

• Copy this file to your desktop.

• Edit the IP address(es) and subnet mask as required.

• Locally Save, then Copy the edited xp_net.txt file back onto the router.

• Re-boot the system (Cycle power on the E-WHEATNET).

• Change your PC’s IP address and the XPoint software IP address via the

Configure-AdvXP Setup form. The E-WHEATNET CPU and the PC must be on the
same subnet.

Sample network text files are included below for reference.
